According to a survey of R&D directors in the world’s 30 largest health care and manufacturing companies, open innovation is becoming an established part of their culture, and benefits are being recognized.
Batelle and R&D magazine recently released their R&D forecast for 2010. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Batelle is the world’s largest, independent research and development organization. According to the 2010 Global R&D Funding Report, U.S. R&D will “begin to re-emerge in 2010, with total R&D spending reaching $401.9 billion, up 3.27% over the final 2009 estimate of $389.2 billion.”
